So, not content with just having the sea, Brighton & Hove also has a pond – well, if we didn’t, where would all the ducks go to drink? The Pond in the North Laine is a recent quirky addition to the city’s contemporary beer scene. Serving its own Pondwater Pale Ale – a refreshing 3.5% beer – alongside a broad range of local, national and international brews, this place is chilled enough to chat or work in during the day, and becomes a buzzy hub in the evening.

The Taiwanese street food, courtesy of Baby Bao, perfectly complements the beer and every Monday is ‘meat-free’, with vegetarian food and also clear labels on the beer to let you know which is vegan. You’d be absolutely quackers not to include it on your Beer Week agenda.

Whilst you’re there, why not try The Prince Albert or BrewDog Brighton?
