Join the folk from The Watchmaker’s Arms and Brighton Bier at The Watchmaker’s Arms to run, walk or stroll the 5 km along the seafront to Brighton Bierhaus for an afternoon of beer. It’s not a race and there are no prizes – you can make it much more of a pleasant amble – but it’s an opportunity to celebrate, enjoy and unite two of the city’s very best beer venues.

Do the journey in reverse on Saturday 25 August.

In addition to the usual solid range of Fuller’s beer, throughout Brighton & Hove Beer Week The Basketmakers Arms – a Brighton beery institution – will be serving four ales brewed in Sussex (two from Dark Star and two from other local breweries). Pop in for a pint in one of the cosiest rooms in the city.

It’s not only about the grain in Brighton & Hove Beer Week – we like to celebrate the humble apple too! And, we’re in luck because the Hand in Hand’s annual cider festival returns as part of Brighton & Hove Beer Week featuring:

Saturday 1 September – fruit & vegetable competitions, welly wanging, cheese rolling and local folk bands

Sunday 2 September – the return of the apple pie competition judged by King Apple Head himself, plus a charity BBQ, and Sunday night jazz from 8pm

Sussex cider will take centre stage, but – as Hand Brew Co. is based on the premises – there will no doubt be plenty of beer to choose from too!

With their brightly coloured clothes and imaginative range of beers, the guys from Loud Shirt really do know how to organise a party in a brewery! Join them on both Saturdays of Brighton & Hove Beer Week as they fling open their doors and turn up the music. Expect live bands and the freshest of beers!

Head over to the wild west of Hove for a week-long Sussex breweries tap takeover. The Westbourne has 7 keg line and 4 casks and all will be flowing with local beer for the duration of Brighton & Hove Beer Week. Enjoy!

They’ll also have Good Things Brewing Co.’s pale ale on tap at a special price all week.
