One of the newest beer venues in the city showcases one of the newest breweries in Sussex for Brighton & Hove Beer Week. Founded by three friends from Brighton, Cloak & Dagger has quickly caught the attention of the local beer scene with assertive and creative brews such as Electric Mayhem Pineapple Sour, Galactic Catnip Cosmic IPA, and Komodo Bozo Session Pale. Dark Star Brewery started out brewing in the basement of The Evening Star pub. Now brewing in Partridge Green in West Sussex, it’s coming home for Brighton & Hove Beer Week. The Evening Star will be dedicating 5 keg lines and 4 casks to Dark Star beers. Make sure you pop in and grab one in the place where it was first dreamed of

In addition to the usual solid range of Fuller’s beer, throughout Brighton & Hove Beer Week The Basketmakers Arms – a Brighton beery institution – will be serving four ales brewed in Sussex (two from Dark Star and two from other local breweries). The Greys is a small pub with a rich history of big music events. Their front bar has featured the likes of Lene Lovich, Damien Rice, Georgie Fame and Kiki Dee. And, on the first Sunday of Brighton & Hove Beer Week, you can enjoy an evening of acoustic music with singer-songwriter, Joel Harries.

The Greys will be serving tasting flights (3 x 1/3 pint) throughout Brighton & Hove Beer Week so you can enjoy a selection of the local brews on tap.
