Grab a bag of candy floss, fill your pockets with change for the slot machines and head down to Horatio’s Bar at the end of the pier for a celebration of local brewing. Eight breweries will be showcasing their best brews in this off-shore beer festival!

‘Don’t go to Margate’ – head up to Hanover instead – for a night of funk, soul, Latin, ska and reggae at The Greys pub, brought to you by 2 Old Blokes Playing Records plus special guest, northern soul DJ, Andy Benik.
The Greys will be serving tasting flights (3 x 1/3 pint) throughout Brighton & Hove Beer Week so you can enjoy a selection of the local brews on tap.

Gin & Beer Cocktails at The Brunswick


What: Gin & Beer Cocktails at The Brunswick (part of The Brunswick Gin Festival)

Around 15 gin producers from Sussex and beyond will be showcasing their range. There’ll be a pop-up bar serving local gin and beer cocktails – featuring breweries such as Lost Pier Brewing, Cloak & Dagger and Franklins Brewing Co.

Join the folk from The Watchmaker’s Arms and Brighton Bier at The Watchmaker’s Arms to run, walk or stroll the 5 km along the seafront to Brighton Bierhaus for an afternoon of beer. It’s not a race and there are no prizes – you can make it much more of a pleasant amble – but it’s an opportunity to celebrate, enjoy and unite two of the city’s very best beer venues.

Do the journey in reverse on Saturday 25 August.

In addition to the usual solid range of Fuller’s beer, throughout Brighton & Hove Beer Week The Basketmakers Arms – a Brighton beery institution – will be serving four ales brewed in Sussex (two from Dark Star and two from other local breweries). Pop in for a pint in one of the cosiest rooms in the city.
